Humanitas is a unique winery with a very compelling story. Simply we make wine, sell it, and give the profits to charity!

However, we try to support whatever charity best addresses these issues community by community.

I know absolutely nothing about wine but I've love to learn! The Humanitas 2005 'Caldwell Vineyards' Napa Cabernet Sauvignon sounds like a great place to start!
I would have to say that the Cabernet Saugvignon describes me. The description says, "'Caldwell Vineyards' are planted in the lean, rocky soil of southeast Napa's exposed hillsides -- an ideal medium for the fruit that creates this exceptionally complex & concentrated wine. I think that others might say that I have a bit of a rocky soil that yields a complex and concentrated personality!
I do pledge to buy a wine from Humanitas this year. This is my first exposure to them, but wine and charity - what more could you ask for. I love that they are supporting the 70 yo cyclist raising money for Habitat for Humanity - sounds like a great company!
Ooops...hit post too quickly. My name is Andrea and my email is andrea at parentise dot com.

Humanitas 'Gap's Crown' 2006 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.. this would be a great way to introduce my boyfriend into wine, his friends are finishing up their "bar basement" and these would be great additions to the first wine party!

I chose the "Humanitas 2007 'Oak Free' Monterey County Chardonnay"
"THE MOST FRIENDLY WINE ON THE PLANET!"... well, most people think I'm one of the friendliest people they've ever met (must be the Minnesota background), almost to my detriment. Additionally, I think wine should be 'friendly' to drink, and too often, they're harsh and in your face and difficult. Chardonnay in particular.
The Humanitas 2006 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon reminds me of my family. I think "bursting" is what caught my eye!
What a wonderful site with a great foundation! The Humanitas 2006 Monterey Sauvignon Blanc sounds a lot like me! The grapefruit, mild fruity taste is what I like in a wine. Many thanks, Cindi

I'd love the Humanitas 'Gap's Crown' 2006 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir because I'm such a Pinot Noir fan. We've gone wine tasting on many occasions, and somehow we always come home with a larger selection of the Pinot Noirs than anything else! This one sounds fantastic, like something we'd reserve for a special meal.

After scanning all of the scrumptious descriptions I found my match in the '06 Sauvignon Blanc, "...beautiful, naked fruit to enjoy". And one of my first unselfish efforts for the new year will be sharing these wines with family and friends. I also will be spending more time teaching English as a second language, gratis!
