I know absolutely nothing about wine but I've love to learn! The Humanitas 2005 'Caldwell Vineyards' Napa Cabernet Sauvignon sounds like a great place to start!

Andrea said...

I would have to say that the Cabernet Saugvignon describes me. The description says, "'Caldwell Vineyards' are planted in the lean, rocky soil of southeast Napa's exposed hillsides -- an ideal medium for the fruit that creates this exceptionally complex & concentrated wine. I think that others might say that I have a bit of a rocky soil that yields a complex and concentrated personality!
I do pledge to buy a wine from Humanitas this year. This is my first exposure to them, but wine and charity - what more could you ask for. I love that they are supporting the 70 yo cyclist raising money for Habitat for Humanity - sounds like a great company!

I think I'm like the
Humanitas 'Gap's Crown' 2006 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.. this would be a great way to introduce my boyfriend into wine, his friends are finishing up their "bar basement" and these would be great additions to the first wine party!

I chose the "Humanitas 2007 'Oak Free' Monterey County Chardonnay"

"THE MOST FRIENDLY WINE ON THE PLANET!"... well, most people think I'm one of the friendliest people they've ever met (must be the Minnesota background), almost to my detriment. Additionally, I think wine should be 'friendly' to drink, and too often, they're harsh and in your face and difficult. Chardonnay in particular.

I'd love the Humanitas 'Gap's Crown' 2006 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir because I'm such a Pinot Noir fan. We've gone wine tasting on many occasions, and somehow we always come home with a larger selection of the Pinot Noirs than anything else! This one sounds fantastic, like something we'd reserve for a special meal.

This was tough! I guess the Humanitas 2006 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon describes me the best. It is a complex mix of flavors, and I am a complex person! But it is also delightful - which I hope I am - and giving - which I hope to be more of in the coming year! In fact, one of my resolutions is to be more charitable in 2009, and buying this brand of wine is an easy way to start!
